Social promotion in school: Good or bad?
Today, I heard that 33% out of the 45% of the 8th grade middle school students attending a high school this fall did not pass one class during their entire middle school attendance. Yes, the students failed every single class from 6th to 8th grade. Who promotes failing students? How are these students going to survive high school and graduate on time? These students are being passed along like a car in an assembly line. When does someone stop the line to have the defected issue evaluated and fixed? How can a house be built when it doesn't have a strong foundation? Until these questions are answered, students will not end up becoming productive citizens of society. Instead, they will become dependent citizens of society.

Breaking News: Cincinnati police
University of Cincinnati police officer accused of killing #SamDubose out of jail, free on bond. Bail was set at $1 million.
USA Today: http://t.co/xfSwbrLR7w
Someone ask what are my thoughts about this yesterday. This is my answer:
The Cincinnati police officer is accused of killing a MAN like any other accused. He's in jail like any other accused and bail bond has been set like any other accused. Therefore, allowing him to post bond like any other accused and to given a court date/appearance like any other accused. This is not about color, it is about someone (a man) being charged with a crime like any other citizen in this country. ALL MEN go through the same process when arrested. African-American's are arrested on a daily basis for crimes such as killing one another and "others", but I do not see anyone posting breaking news stating it is unfair about their bail bond. Why does it seem to make news when it's white on black crime and not when it's black on black crime? Lady Justice sees no color. We, as Americans, need to be more like her. Just saying!
